Early on, Rumana learned classical and Nazrul songs from Bulbul Lalit-Kola Academy. Afterwards, when she joined Chhayanat, she continued learning Nazrul songs through music lessons.
Currently, she has 9 original modern songs to her name and some are under the works and are to be released soon!
